And how is G doing this week?

Just in time for Christmas, on top of that. It was quite an expensive toy and it only lasted 3 years. And I'm annoyed, understandably, I think. But perhaps I shouldn't judge it so harshly.

It had been overheating for a while. I even bought a new charger for it because the old one's connector was melting! (a bit heeheeee). But it worked fine besides that. Fine, that is, until it got hit by a virus.

Shockingly, said virus seems to have come from either fanfiction.net or from livejournal itself. (I'm blogging from a Mac or a Linux machine from now on.) If I confirm this, it is really bad news.

The thing is, because of the overheating, the problem can't be fixed. Before I can restore the system, the computer crashes. Even putting it out on the deck (so it stayed cool, very cool) it didn't manage to complete the process.

It is dead.

So, I've been using my baby's laptop, an OLPC that we got last year. And it is very inefficient. They are made for small fingers. Half the time I'm erasing what my big digits mess up. I've posted an embarrassingly huge amount of typos because of it. But I shouldn't be complaining. At least I have a computer to use!!!

So, I'm grieving... Ah, silly G.
